Merricks Capital launches Agriculture Credit Fund

Merricks Capital CEO Adrian Redlich discusses the strategy and opportunities with the launch of the Merricks Capital Agriculture Credit Fund.

Merricks Capital has a strong background in agriculture. The Agricultural sector is very close to our heart, having been involved since the day we began Merricks Capital.

With ownership in several farm management and asset servicing companies we have boots on the ground assisting our team in Collins St manage the life cycle of a loan.  We have a deep domain knowledge in the sector having built out an internal team of credit experts as well as a series of partnerships of farm management groups across Australia and New Zealand.

Our loans are focused on helping farmers and the agriculture supply chain grow to meet the opportunity. With limited competition outside the $70bn loan balance sheet of the commercial banks we consider there is a significant opportunity to deploy alternative credit and achieve strong risk adjusted returns through our asset backed investment philosophy.

This fund is unique in that it focuses 100% on the Agricultural sector and we are very excited to be launching with very strong macro tailwinds for the sector.
